Trump vs America

The United States of America has been the most powerful nation in the world for decades. Repeated challenges have only made it stronger. Its power lies in its ability to unite its citizens around their love of country. But the story of our nation has always been a turbulent one. How then, is the current crisis in our nation, occasioned by the ascension to the Presidency of a businessman unschooled in the ways of government, threatening to pull it apart at the very seams? The terror attack of September 11, 2001 gave rise to an era in which Americans were sharply divided along ideological lines, but there have been numerous other periods in history which had a similar effect, including the Civil War and the Civil Rights Era. How did we pull together as a nation in the wake of these events and how can we achieve that, once again? The grand conspiracy we face in the USA today is the work of forces external to this nation and its government. There is abundant evidence to suggest that the Russian Federation is at the center of it. The investigation into this conspiracy posits that the President, himself, is the Trojan horse, by which America may be compelled to fall, due to the implication of numerous of his aides and associates in what may well have been a fraudulent and invalid presidential election. But how do we, as Americans respond? How do we once again pull together in common cause to answer this existential threat, igniting again the unquenchable flame of our nation?
