Dragon's Fortune

In the final book of The Dragon's Fate series, Meru is a half-human, half-ondine hybrid, created by the Gods and prophesied to help save the world. His name means "water," and that is his primary power, though he can use all five elements. Immortal like his father, Meru has had over half a century to master both magic and more mundane forms of power while the Dragon Wizards and their powerful legacy have shaped his life. And the time to use that training looms close, as a formidable evil has taken root in the Southern Kingdoms. Meru remains reluctant to act, however, because his prophesied fate only points toward violence and death. But his destiny may be one thing that he cannot overcome, especially when an impatient God abruptly changes his outlook. Or when Meru's past comes back to betray him in a way that he never expected.
