The Romanistisches Jahrbuch (RJb) is the only scholarly journal to regularly provide information about the representation of Romance languages, literatures and cultural studies at German and Austrian universities. It systematically compiles accepted doctoral dissertations and postdoctoral theses, as well as theses projects currently in progress at German-speaking universities. The first section of the annual features current reviews. In addition, essays on central questions from linguistics and literary studies regarding one single or several Romance languages are published. The second section is dedicated to current problems concerning the Iberoromance languages and literatures (Spanish/Portuguese within and outside of Europe, Catalan).
