Ausgewählte Schriften

The author has added a third volume to her Selected Works I and II (originally published 1998 by Zabern Verlag.) It contains 20 contributions on Greek art ranging from the Archaic to Roman times and encompasses five topics: grave art, metal art, theater, religion, and mythology. Almost all contributions have emerged over the last decade. Criteria for the selections were, among other things, the difficulty in identifying certain publications and the importance of the artwork on science, such as in the case of the "Stele from Taman" and the "Great Eleusinian relief." Well-known pieces such as the "Drunken Old Man" in Munich and the Crater in Talos Ruvo receive new interpretations. Little-known works such as the Crater of Asteas and a selection of bronzes from Jerusalem are explained in detail. The conclusion is made up of the author's bibliography since 1998. German text.
