Saodv: Secure Aodv and Simple Ad Hoc Key Management (Sakm)
Manel Guerrero-zapata
This book contains a detailed explanation of the Secure AODV (SAODV) and the Simple Ad hoc Key Management (SAKM) protocols written by the author of these protocols himself. It explains you not only how these protocols work but why they were designed in this manner. It includes, a short introduction to AODV, an detailed analysis of the AODV security flaws, a security analysis of the SAODV and SAKM protocols, hints about how to secure other routing protocols, implementation hints, simulation results, performance considerations, pointers to related publications, and the last SAODV and SAKM drafts. The Secure Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (SAODV) routing protocol is an extension of the AODV protocol that can be used to protect the route discovery mechanism providing security features like integrity and authentication. The Simple Ad hoc Key Management (SAKM) is a key management system that allows to the nodes of an ad hoc network to use asymmetric cryptography with zero configuration. SAKM is intended to be used in conjunction with a MANET routing protocol that provides security features that require the use of asymmetric cryptography (like SAODV).
