The book explores the role of Faith Based Organisations in the promotion of the sustainable livelihoods of orphans. It gives findings that can help faith based organisations and other development agencies to realise the potential of sistainable livelihoods approach in addressing the problems faced by orphans. There is a literature review on Faith Based Organisations, Sustaibale Livelihoods and Child Headed Households. A field research was carried out in the Youth at Risk project, Gitarama parish, Shyogwe Diocese, the Episcopal Church of Rwanda. Data that have been collected were about the improvement of living conditions and the constitution of the Youth at Risk project as a Faith Based Organisation in the chilren's livelihoods. Recommendations are set out for international donors, government of Rwanda, faith based organisations and the Rwandan community.
