Vocabulary Learning Through Task-based Instruction: a New Teaching Approach--- an Experiment to Efl Learners
Chiu-lan Yeh
In the past decades, many teachers in EFL fields loved teaching students by using traditional teaching methods. That is, during the classes, students only listen to the teacher without a lot of interactions between teacher and students, or between students and students. Therefore, traditional teaching methods are no longer sufficient for learners to improve their language proficiency. Actually, there are radical necessities for EFL teachers to adopt a workable teaching approach to help their students to learn English. Until now, there are very few studies concerning Task-Based Instruction (TBI) which has been documented in the literature. Since less emphasis is placed on the Task-Based aspects of teaching approach, this book therefore provides a new teaching method for teachers, EFL learners, researchers, or professionals to take a reference. In short, TBI is an up-to-date teaching method in EFL fields; hence, this book should be very useful to EFL or ESL teachers, researchers, professionals, or anyone who is concerned and is interested in learning English successfully.
