The 3rd chapter covers 'Communication and Planning' phases of SDLC. Scheduling details of 'planning' phase are introduced in chapter # 4. The 5th chapter explains the 'Modeling' phase with sub activities of analysis and design of software projects. The 6th chapter covers the details of 'Construction and Deployment' phases of SDLC those include the coding, testing, maintenance, Installation, training and documentation. The 7th chapter provides the details about software configuration and its management. Component-based software engineering (CBSE) is covered in Chapter 8.
