According to Census of India 2011, Rohtak city is the third largest city of Haryana. The present study looks into urban sprawl and urban land transformation of Rohtak city with the help of remote sensing and GIS techniques. Physical expansion of the city along the major national or state highway is very fast especially along the National Highway No. 10 towards Delhi, the national capital of India.
