This book is designed to assess techno stress among library professionals of engineering colleges of Anna University, Tamilnadu, India and consists of five components of techno stress such as physical effects of techno stress, physical and psychological symptoms of techno stress, sources of techno stress, ergonomics and techno stress and personality type and techno stress. Major findings of the study include respondents suffer from loss of confidence with regard to use of technology, heart disease, and musculoskeletal disorders. Key sources of techno stress in the workplace are: increased management expectation in adoption of IT, lack of co-ordination among depts, migration to a technologically advanced library, lack of documented training resources, lack of professional staff and less involvement in decision making process. Majority of the respondents look forward to learn technology. Ergonomic factors and personality type of the respondents have significant influence on techno stress.
