A Feasibility Test of the Anglophone Cameroon Quest for Independence: Learning from South Sudan
Ifeoluwa R. Atoyebi
The ?mistake? of colonial powers in bringing together people of different tribes, race, religion, language and culture under one rule, laid the foundation of present day subnational movements, struggling for self-rule. While some of these movements have succeeded in achieving their independence, others have not. The feasibility test of the Anglophone Cameroon quest for independence in light of the creation of South Sudan sets out to investigate and analyze the causal factors that contributed to the success of South Sudan in attaining her independence as well as the inhibiting factors to the creation of an independent Anglophone Cameroon.
