The number of golfers in the U. S. has decreased in recent years from 30.6 million in to 25.7 million. This poses a real threat to the golf industry. The purpose of this book is to ascertain golfer and employee satisfaction in Southwest Florida, establish levels of satisfaction through a Golfers Satisfaction Index (GSI), identify influential variables, and assess relationships between golfer and employee satisfaction to improve organizational outcomes. The research was conducted among 10 golf facilities in Southwest Florida. By initiating GSI Surveys, Path Analysis, Job Enrichment and strategies based on maximizing value, synergistic relationships can be accomplished between satisfied employees, perceived organizational performance, and golfer satisfaction leading to higher golfer retention, increased golfer participation, higher revenues and industry growth.
