Performance Management System and Practices: Introduction, Concept, Process, Dimensions and Relevant Areas of Pms. a Research Study on Rstps (Ntpc)

The present research work has focused on the way PMS is implemented in a public sector organization i.e NTPC. The new ideology in doing research survey on PMS in the organization has resulted in identification of three new dimensions namely PMS Transparency, PMS Implementation and PMS Evaluation, which intern helped to measure PMS effectiveness in the organization. Different variables are identified, studied and comparisons are made by using the appropriate statistical tools to measure the PMS Effectiveness in RSTPS. The present descriptive study has completely focused on the relevant areas of PMS like Performance Appraisal which is a part of PMS. Finally conclusions were drawn based on which the suggestions were also made to gain more effectiveness in PMS in the organization. The organization is advanced in adopting the change and the same is not a tough task i.e.to focus on the suggestions made as PMS in the organization is at early-growth stage. This research study further provides the deep insight for budding researchers who are in the same field.
