Combining education and computer games is a trending topic within the academic and the commercial world. One of the main problems of educational games is that they are generally not considered fun. This book will explore the possibilities of marrying fun and education and more specifically, how commercially viable computer games can be used as a new medium of translation for chivalric literature in an educative manner. The topic is approached from a motivational and experiential point of view with an analysis of game play, an exploration of various computer game types fit for storytelling and the promises they offer in educative value. The last part of this work contains a case study on a single-player game and a piece of Arthurian literature. Although this is not a complete translation of the story, it will offer insight on the possibilities of translation.
