The intention of IPM mainly focus on: Healthy environment, Healthy animals, Healthy human being and Healthy food. It is a multidisciplinary approach of pest management system, ecologically and economically sound which aims at keeping pest population below economic threshold level. This can be done by integrating two or more tactics such as cultural,host plant resistance, mechanical/physical, biological control like the use of predators, parasitoids, fungi, bacteria, virus and easily degradable and less persistence bio-pesticides and wise use of synthetic pesticides based on its compatibility and economic feasibility as well as its effectiveness in pest management.
