'The discs that drink waves and excrete In our drawing rooms; waste that bathes us'
The unmanned driver cabins has a orange glowThat of a bedroom lampAs if it was time to go to sleep
There are almost a dozen poems in this volume those deal with killing of animals by human being. Going by that the book may also have been dubbed as say A Brief Treatise on Theriocide; theriocide: a short name, an abbreviation of such acts. But as the book grew and got filled with many other themes, plots it seemed relevant to baptize it in a different way and so the title 'A Little Book of Longing and Despair' emerged.
In this book of thirty odd poems the author has attempted to capture the frailty of human existence and a continuous longing for restoring back to harmony amidst a time of despair.
