There are many ways the world can end. Cake Johnson had not been having a good day. After getting fired, and burning several bridges, he heads out for a camping trip with his older brother. Drunkenness leads to a night of weird events, and when Cake wakes up, many things have changed; he's not only missing toes, but also his family. As he sets out to find them, things deteriorate from bad to worse, and soon he starts to doubt even his own humanity. A fantastical contemporary adventure series, in the vein of Douglas Adams, will lead Cake to places he never knew existed, and push him to make decisions he's not prepared for.
