Liad and the Crows

This is the story of a strong friendship between a boy and a crow-Liad, ten years old and Jay, a young crow; both of whom live in Ramat Aviv, a neighborhood in the outskirts of Tel Aviv, Israel. Their developing friendship is threatened by events happening in the world of the crows. The crows' aging and ruthless leader, Raven, feels that his future leadership is at risk. He decides to bolster his leadership by preaching hatred to humans and initiating an all-out war against them. Jay, Liad's friend, a crow with vision and leadership abilities, is not happy with this campaign. Deep inside, he feels that this is not in the interest of the crows. He believes that both crows and humans can benefit from living alongside each other and he resents a stupid war. Gaining gradually the support of his flock, his self-confidence is fortified and as the story evolves, he decides to confront Raven directly. A power struggle ensues between the two crows. Can Jay muster enough support to confront Raven's cunning methods and wide influence? Who will be the next leader of the crows in Israel? How will the outcome of their competition to lead the crows affect Jay's relationship with Liad? Will it survive these dramatic events?
