On Becoming Rose is a life-experience travelogue. It is a collection of poetry. In it the writer expresses both her experiences and the experiences of others from her childhood to adolescent years and in her adult life. The writer deals with and explore themes such as the journey of becoming a woman, yearning to be loved and to be loved correctly, relationships she has encountered and their impact on her life.
