Bahau, the Elephant & the Ham
David Miller
Fleeing to Bahau to escape the wrath of the Japanese Army occupying Singapore in World War II, a small community of Eurasians was totally unprepared for the harsh and primitive life that awaited these would-be farmers in the hostile Malayan jungle. Many succumbed to malaria and other tropical diseases while a few surrendered to despair and gave up the fight. It was only the tight family bonds and a raw determination to persevere that kept the others alive.
