Are you worried about the future of your child? What is the explanation for the swelling crack or the gap in our social structure; or the gap between the enormous potential your child, business or country has as compared to what many are reduced to? How do we bridge the gap between the rich few and the masses? What is the secret? How do we address the gap between what Mother Earth is today and what she will be tomorrow? Can we address the gap between what schools teach today, and what they should actually be teaching-the critical gap from which all other gaps spring-gaps about which Einstein lamented saying: "Schools failed me," gaps which made Bill Gates drop out of Harvard; gaps which led Steve Jobs to instead choose to be self-trained, etcetera? Why does one team lift the trophy, as another sits at the bottom of the table even when they are given same-same resources? Give a million dollar to two graduates of economics or finance: one turns it around as, like water, a million dollar drifts through the fingers of another fellow with astonishing rapidity! Why? Equally, entrust your child, business or country to two graduates of management: one may lift that child, business or country to new heights as another will screw it up. Why? It's not the physical resources available to your child, business or country that determine one's prospects per se, as in so many ways DR. Congo, Nigeria or even Tanzania on one hand, and countries like Singapore, Dubai or Rwanda and Botswana, let alone Switzerland and Japan, illustrate. That's why instead, schools must focus on identifying, and bringing to life, the enormous hidden potential-physical, mental, emotional or spiritual potential-available to your child or employee, against the proportion so pitifully small she habitually puts to use! Educators must help your child or employee establish the bottom line, push the boundaries, extend the limits and close the gap-the gap our curriculum has helped create but failed to address. This, Sir, Madam, is the difference we bring: the difference your child, business and country have been innately weeping for!
