'After Silence Falls' is the third and final volume in a trilogy of poetry dedicated to love and loss.
Following the exploration of different types of love in 'Quixotic Nature' and the seven stages of grief in 'Reflection and Refraction', 'After Silence Falls' again uses poetry as a cathartic tool - this time explicitly addressing those unexpressed thoughts and feelings that well up in the silence that ensues loss and talking directly to the people, places, things and time that no longer exist.
All too often we wish we had said certain things, at certain times, with various reasons for never having done so. Perhaps the opportunity simply passed us by, it was taken away from us, we were silenced or perhaps we never had the courage or comfort to do so. Split into two parts - past and present - the book offers an insight into what the author wanted to say at the time as well as what would be said now, covering a myriad of emotions. In some instances, poems that fall under 'past' have unmarked counterparts in the chapter 'present', highlighting the ever changing mental and emotional states we go through as we move forward and navigate our way through life.
As with volumes one and two, each poem is open to interpretation and it is intended that through sharing these very personal sentiments, others may find comfort in the universally familiar, .
