All The Quiet Places

A coming-of-age story set against the backdrop of WWII London. When Liam and Aileen meet in the secret space between their houses, they forge a friendship that will test the limits of their strength, commitment, and love. Eleven-year-old Liam doesn't expect his hall door to speak to him, much less know his name. When he finds beautiful, kind, and troubled Aileen on the other side, their connection is instantaneous. Liam's two closest friends take to her just as quickly, and whether traversing London's streets or playing in the nearby abandoned mill, the quartet is never far apart. But as childhood turns to adulthood, and friendship turns to love, so does peace turn to war. Darkness looms over all of Europe while a private darkness follows Aileen, threatening both her body and mind. When the darkness strikes, the friends learn that the German Army isn't the only menace and that the line between childhood and adulthood is sometimes drawn with blood.
