Daughter of the Sun and the Moon

The overarching theme in Daughter Of The Sun And The Moon is hope. Through this collection of poems, Hope takes on a human or ethereal form. However, the message conveyed is always the same; encouraging the reader to keep the flame of hope alive even if it's only a tiny spark. In this book, humanized/ ethereal Hope is an idealistic figure who sees the world as no one else does and spreads her magic onto the afflicted. For when one sees beauty in the simplest things, the world indeed becomes magical. We can experience hope in many ways. In my writings, hope is represented by the pleasant sound of a babblying brook, the sweet smell of the first rain, the soothing sound of heavy rain with a hint of thunder after a long dry summer, moonkissed ripples on a serene night full of shimmering stars across a velvet sky.
