On July 4, 1960, a diverse cast of characters gathers along the banks of Angela's Creek for a family reunion. Here are the Scots-Irish of Appalachia - soldiers, educators, laborers, and many others inclusive of loved ones who have gone before but are remembered on a day when family and country and heritage are one and the same and similar to a roll call of presidents from the first to JFK in 1960 and a peek ahead to 2020.
