Self-mastery

This workbook is about changing behavior - thoughts, feelings, and actions. It is based on the premise that the doctrines of the gospel of Jesus Christ can change behavior when applied properly. Whether one wants to change a self-defeating behavior or adopt a new behavior as a means of self-improvement, Self-mastery provides guideposts from a Christian perspective. Anyone, regardless of religious affiliation, may be helped by the principles and doctrines in this workbook. The canon of scriptural references is based on those accepted by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, namely, the Old and New Testaments, The Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and The Pearl of Great Price. Readers and users of the workbook do not need to be affiliated with the church but, are asked to read, ponder, prayerfully seek understanding, then apply the doctrines contained in the scriptures. The workbook is not about proselyting. It is about personally progressing using the truths contained in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Self-mastery is comprised of a few introductory sections followed by twenty chapters, each focused on a process required for changing behavior. Each process is "mastered" by applying doctrines contained in key scriptures.
