Catching Waves with You

Chad refuses to live at home with his grandparents now that his mother is gone, even if that means living in his van near the beach. As long as he has air in his lungs, a surfboard, and a paint brush, he's living the perfect life. Until he meets Maggie, the new girl who works at the sub shop across the street from the beach. Looking into her eyes, Chad realizes there are more important things than art and surfing. Suddenly being homeless seems more like a secret to be kept rather than a declaration of freedom. Although Chad never knew his father, he leans on his surfing instructor, Buddy, for the kind of advice a seventeen-year-old kid needs when facing the temptations of first love. A weekend without supervision reminds Maggie and Chad how badly they need the guidance of their parents and renews Chad's desire to find his father. But can Chad set aside his freedom and his surfboard long enough to find himself and a life beyond seventeen?
