The artifacts in the plastic medium unearthed radiate the warmth of a society's culture it belongs. In this context 'THE DIVINE DEITIES' is a humble endeavor to understand the iconographical status of Anhilwad Patan in Gujarat. The iconographic analysis deals with SELECTED ICONS FROM ARCHAIC PATAN and its proximity. Also, it details the plastic features of icons, especially of Hindu pantheon pertain to medieval temples which include the divine images of Brahma, Vishnu, Siva, Surya, other minor deities and Goddesses. The medieval period in Gujarat nearly stretched from the eighth to thirteen century A. D. and this period issued iconographical heterogeneity such as natural scenery, floral and geometrical designs, animals and birds, human figures, and portrait sculptures. Almost all the icons from Patan, beautifully decorated with ornaments and costumes, and these sculptures exhibit many ornaments and apparels of various patterns which are not very different from usually decked sculptures all over Gujarat.
