One Last Night To Love

Revised Edition that provides more details!Alicia is 34 years old and is serving a life sentence without parole for the murder of her first husband. Her ex-husband Peter with whom she had been married for three happy years until her crime was discovered, refuses to have anything to do with her because he believes Alicia had tried to kill him the night she was arrested and the parents of her deceased husband refuse to allow her two sons from her first marriage to visit or communicate with her either. She has formed a friendship that grew into a relationship with her cellmate, Kristen to help fill the void and that included making love. Those moments shared with Kristen helped ease some of the loneliness and isolation she felt but she still in those nights laying alone on her bunk she still yearns for Peter's touch and love and every day continues to experience the growing dread that she seems destined to grow old and die alone and unloved in prison. When Alicia's mother dies, it seems like a miracle that Ms. Alex Foreman, a prison official will allow Alicia leave to attend the funeral and had persuaded Peter to host Alicia at his house for the night before the funeral, although before she leaves, she finds out that such generosity comes with a price that Alex expects her to pay one day a week upon her return. At last that night Alicia comes face to face with Peter and she desperately seeks to rekindle the love that Peter and she felt for each other, so that she can at least be reconciled to him and realize her dream of enjoying one last night when she can truly be a woman again so they would express their love for each other. As the night unfolds, more details emerge of what really happened the night when Alicia's first husband Jake died and also of the fateful night when Alicia was arrested that opens Peter's eyes to a different perspective of Alicia that reawakens something in Peter and thus he decides to fulfill her desires. As the night comes to an end and it is almost time for Alicia to leave Peter forever and go to her mother's funeral and then back to prison, Peter decides to express his love in a final and merciful way to ensure that Alicia would always know that she was loved and would never be lonely or abandoned again.
