The Gothic South

My journey into the heart of Dixie, Texas Hill, and River Country life alone as an African American woman for a stay in the woods. The deep southern roots in the images capture the aching for nostalgia that leaves much of the countryside in limbo and in beautiful and tender disarray and decay that is hauntingly beautiful and at times, as uncanny as purgatory. Join me for a dark journey into the South for what is classic Gothiic tendencies balancing light and dark temperaments eveningly.
