Fab Beatles

At first there was John and his mates. Then it was John, Paul and mates. Then it was John, Paul, George and mates. As the Quarry Men the lads played at places like the Morgue, the Casbah and the Cavern. Rival groups included Cass and the Cassanovas, Kingsize Taylor and the Dominoes, Gerry and the Pacemakers, Rory Storm and the Hurricanes and the Darktown Skiffle Group. After romantic trysts with Barbara and Thelma, John met Cynthia and fell in love, in John's way of falling in love. Both were studying at the Liverpool College of Art, while Paul and George with at the Liverpool Institute. John became close friends with Stuart Sutcliffe, a talented young painter at college, and also met writer-dabbler Bill Harry. These individuals and others blended into the mix of art and school students, budding musicians and writers, as well as young workers and trade-skilled persons in Liverpool. And all their great stories have not even really begun!
