Promises Made Promises Kept

The God about whom we learn from the Bible is a God of Promises. God has given many wonderful promises to His people, and as we shall see He has been faithful and has kept every one of them. When I undertook the writing of this little book I tried, to the best of my ability, to follow what Paul said to Agrippa when he said, "Having therefore obtained help of God, ...witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come..." Acts 26:22-23 The reaction of some might be the same as that expressed by Festus when he heard Paul speak. Luke said,"And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad." Acts 26:24 I have made every attempt to support the things said in this book with extensive quotations from the Holy Scriptures. I firmly believe that God's Word is true and faithful and all that it says is truth. When Paul spoke some did not believe, to which he said, "For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar..." Romans 3:3-4 As you read, please have the spirit of the Bereans and check what is said from the Scriptures. To most, the views set forth in the book will be new and even strange, but time will show what is right and what is wrong. May God give each of us wisdom and understanding.
