Gertrud and the terrible monster

She would do anything not to admit it, but the one and only truth is that little Gertrud is awfully and definitely scared of monsters! What terrifies Gertrud the most is the idea of being the last one to fall asleep - after mummy, daddy and her little sister - because that's exactly the moment when the smelly monsters come out: in the night, in the dark, when only children are awake... and that's why every night she invents something new to keep mummy Guendalina awake as long as it is possible. But during a dark and stormy night, the dreaded thing happens: everyone falls asleep before her, and exactly then.... Are your children afraid of monsters and of the dark, and do they make a fuss when it's time to go to bed? Well, if so this book is for you! And especially for them, of course: ) After "Gustavo and the Shower", here is the second volume of the new children's book serie entitled "Cuddling and smiling before sleeping", dedicated to comic good-night tales, that, in addition to entertaining children in that delicate moment that precedes sleep, are also aimed at teaching in a relaxed way a sense of responsibility towards oneself, others, and the world. The first two tales belonging to the serie "Cuddling and smiling before sleeping" have been created by the author during the 'lockdown' for Covid-19 for her son, when in the evening he showed signs of impatience, and by the author herself have been illustrated by hand with mixed techniques (watercolors, pastels and markers). About the author: Barbara De Filippis, born in 1973, from Rome, graduated in Foreign Languages and Literature with a philological-literary orientation, and specialized in Literary Translation and, subsequently, in Education for Peace and Sustainable Development, lives in Sardinia (Italy) with her husband and son.
