The recipes featured in this book will be divided into three categories: Medicinal Home Remedies, Miscellaneous Complete Body Home Remedies, Household Cleaning Remedies, and Quick Household Hints. There are remedies for croup, burns, cough, heartburn, carpet cleaner, flea medicine, and toilet cleaner. The nice thing about homemade is lack of toxic fumes associated with these recipes. They are free of toxins. Some additives of store-bought cleaners can make your skin react. But now, you can have more natural cleaners. I'm sure everyone has certain home remedies remembered from childhood. My mother used to boil the onion and use the juice for earaches. I don't remember if it really worked or not, but she did use it a lot. What about cod liver oil? Yuck! But it was believed that it helped in bowel movements and kept you regular. Luckily, my mother never did use cod liver oil. Essential Oils are now being used for common ailments. I have used essential oils in soap and lotion recipes, and I know some people that use the oils. They claim that the essential oils show positive results. I hope you will enjoy this collection of homemade recipes!
