Justin Turing - an Englishman abroad - is a very depressed fellow. He works in New York for a TV advertising agency; his expertise is in his 4th dimension radio valve gifted to him by his great uncle. The valve, invented in the early days of WW2, has the ability to slip a minute fraction of time. With the help of his wife Jane, a TV creative, he discovers he can extend this minute time-slip. A series of secret interviews with past dignitaries are planned, which they intend to go public with - but disgruntled Mafioso, Leon Patruci, has other ideas.
