Andre Norton's classic work of time travel science fiction, the first in her The Time Traders Series. Seeking to avoid psychiatric procedures, criminal Ross Murdock volunteers for a secret military project, which develops into a time-traveling conflict between the forces to the West, the "Reds" (i.e., the Soviets or Russians), and an alien species known as the "Baldies". The action traverses the modern era, ancient Britain, and the Bronze Age."The Time Traders" was followed in Norton's series by: Galactic Derelict, The Defiant Agents, Key Out of Time, Firehand, Echoes in Time, and Atlantis Endgame. Andre Norton was the pen name of Andre Alice Norton, also known as Alice Mary Norton, and by the pen names Andrew North and Allen Weston. She was a trailblazing female author, famous for her science fiction, but also writing in other genres. She was the first woman to be inducted into the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame and held numerous other awards and firsts.
