A new star in the sky

Following the story "The white dog and the black cat", Billy tries to say goodbye to his friend Gum before traveling to the beach with his humans, but one of they only speaks the language of dogs, while the other only understands what the cat says. The dog has a lot of fun on the beach, but he misses his friend who stayed in the city. In turn, the cat also misses the dog and spends several times a day in front of his house. Now sixteen years old, Billy becomes ill and was taken to a veterinary clinic. When the dog's human return from vacation, the cat sees that his friend's shipping box is empty and stay very concerned. One night, while lying on the roof of a house in front of Billy's house, Gum looks at the sky and a little star in particular draws his attention. So, he finally understands what happened to his little friend.
