The Berserkers

A society of ruthless genetically modified people seeking to recreate a Viking-like culture. A formidable leader looking for the perfect bride to found a new, supreme race. Branstock, the mysterious Berserker leader, sets his eyes on Rowan, a 17-year-old Anai girl whose genetic analysis indicates that she has prime Berserker potential. By all means in his possession, he attempts to entice Rowan to accept his proposal, become his bride, and start a new dynasty of proud Bloodthirst Gene carriers. Thoroughly disgusted by the idea, Rowan does all she can to escape the Berserker fortress where she is held against her will. Eventually, she succeeds in getting away - but not before receiving the fateful inoculation that will change her life forever.
