Egoism and Politics

This book is about egoism, politics, sciences, human beings and the unpredictable human behaviour. Human beings are autonomous, thinking individuals, not to be analysed statistically as if they were physical particles or viruses. We cannot predict how an individual human will behave, but we can make valid generalisations - about how most people behave in response to a price increase, or to a visual stimulus. There are many more points that can be raised, but by reading this book and objectively listening to the mass media the reader will realise that the egotistic politicians behave as if they are a group of sociopaths. This is characterised by a pervasive pattern of disregard for the feelings of others and often accompanied by violation of the rights of others through negligence or overt action. According to the grapevine, recent actions by Secretaries and Ministers of the Boris Johnson government have shown the distinction between dysfunctional, or aberrant, and merely idiosyncratic behaviours.
