Neglected as HSP with dissociation

The presence of the mental illnesses PTSD, (open and hidden) narcissism, codependency, gaslighting (cunning manipulation technique of hidden narcissism) and TPS in the family I grew up in, has caused every family member to demand attention and love in an excessive way. Everyone needs attention and love. Me too. But as HSP, I don't abuse other people to my own advantage and at the expense of those other people. I am aware of myself and life. Due to the presence of the aforementioned mental illnesses, I gave more attention and love to all my other family members than to myself, without anyone noticing. Now that I am 63 years old and making progress with my therapy, I no longer neglect myself. I am finally guarding my own limits. As HSS, I keep trying and experiencing to be able to estimate how other people really are. Almost everyone asks for attention and love in his own way. Because of my current therapy I am increasingly aware of myself and life. I am satisfied with myself and do not seek attention and love from other people. I no longer neglect myself, because I take care of myself in every respect.
