A Beguiling Mind

8-years-old Pax Lewis is an easy target of bullying of his classmates and neighbors in Chicago, Illinois as he has a Psychogenic stuttering. Aside from his speech therapy, his parents have been exposing him to watching theatrical performances to build his confidence. One day, he surprises everyone, when suddenly his speech problem was gone, and he became an instant mathematician and literary genius. Neurologists diagnosed him to have savant syndrome, that interests them to research on his expanding brain in place of a scholarship in Oxford University, which he had been admitted as a child prodigy, and became emeritus mathematics and literature instructor of grade school at Oxford University, and eventually a manager of ALC Bank in Chicago, whose long descent into a bad accident in a summer camp that almost claimed his life. His brain structure was altered. He's in a coma for 3 months in the ICU and no signs of hope that he could survive it. As he grew up, he's adopting a hobby of x-ray scanning the human body. He can describe an intimate detail of the location and condition of a person. He'll do random kindness to people with deformities by conducting unconventional medical surgery that is mostly dubbed as "successful operation". With all the stunning transformations Pax has been manifesting, his ability to see ghosts has not been affected in the slightest degree. He's scarred for life to see them.
