Behold, O predestined soul, a secret which the Most High has entrusted to me and which I could not find in any book, old or new. Through the Holy Spirit I entrust it to you: -that you communicate it only to people who deserve it - by their prayers, almsgiving, mortifications, by the persecutions they have suffered, by their zeal for the salvation of souls, and by their detachment;-That you use it to become holy and heavenly, that is why this secret will only be great for those who make use of it. Take care not to stand idly by without work, for then my secret would serve you as poison and would be your doom;-that every day of your life, you thank God for the privilege He has granted you by teaching you a secret that you do not deserve to know
