Anita arrives at Stanford for a PHD in Molecular Oncology, working with an accomplished professor. Niraj is a young VC in Silicon Valley, California, where brilliant minds make the world dance to their tunes. Both are from Bangalore (the other Silicon Valley) India. They meet at a conference in Washington D. C, where Anita is presenting a paper. Niraj cannot place a finger on how hard he falls for her. She dazzles, intrigues and stuns him all at once. As if Cupid aimed a bolt of lightning the instant he laid his eyes on her - a coup de foudre of the tallest order! The two youngsters fall in love, stir the deep waters of the embedded cultural pot, push and break barriers and boundaries, dent the trust factor, ruffle some feathers, and face the angst of the same. As they traverse two continents, they blend and bridge Science & Soul, unravel the breath-taking beauty of California, and offer a glimpse of the rich art, architecture, textile and local gastronomy of ancient India. All this while Anita straddles her love, career, and the trials and tribulations of motherhood. Niraj decides to quit being a VC and become an entrepreneur, starting his own Mobile Payments Company in Bangalore, whereas Anita, decides to start a collaborative research center. Seven years later, as Niraj's company faces imminent bankruptcy while facing a hockey-stick situation, so does their relationship. In the meantime, the story moves on to a mysterious and sinister twist of events and a crime from an unlikely quarter ensues....an attempt to murder, and a death, climaxing in yes, a very filmy Hollywood-Bollywood type of finish.
