The The | Ensoulment
THE THE announce their first new album in a quarter century!
Ensoulment circles around distinctive themes of love and sex, war and politics, life and death, and the meaning of what it means to be human in the 21st century. The upcoming album was written, demoed and mixed at Studio Cinéola in London by THE THE's primary creative force, Matt Johnson.
Ensoulment contains elements of THE THE's diverse musical past, but is also the sound of where the band is right now. Johnson is not afraid to tackle emotional complexities of the human condition - intimacy in an age of alienation, democracy in a post-truth age and the inevitable rise of AI.
The album will be released in four formats: CD jewelcase, CD Hardbook, Black 2LP Gatefold incl. book and Clear 2LP Gatefold incl. book.
