For over forty years, Ozric Tentacles have created their very own musical universe. From their roots on the British free festival scene to becoming one of the most prominent names in experimental rock, the band has moved effortlessly between prog rock, space rock, electronica, and much more over more than four decades. The result is an unmistakable sound that has inspired generations of both musicians and listeners.

Harmonic Mind, the band's 17th studio album, adds another strong chapter to that story. Named after the geometric and harmonic structure of existence, the album once again offers Ozric Tentacles' characteristic blend of soaring guitar melodies, complex rhythms, lush synthesizer pads, and deep, hypnotic grooves that together create a flowing psychedelic journey.

The album Harmonic Mind was recorded in the band's own studios in Scotland, Devon, and finally Glastonbury. At the same time, it is the first album featuring the entire current touring lineup, including drummer Pat Garvey, bassist Corey Wallace, percussionist Paul Hankin, and multi-instrumentalist Saskia Maxwell. This gives the album a vibrant energy and an interplay that reflects the band's strong live chemistry.

From the driving "Guardstones" to the cosmic "Space Platform," Harmonic Mind is filled with the adventurous spirit and musical freedom that Ozric Tentacles are known for. "Malachite" is both a tribute to Ed Wynne's favorite mineral and a presentation of his custom-built sandalwood acoustic guitar from Kif Wood Guitars with a beautiful malachite inlay around the soundhole. The track simultaneously highlights the warmth and detail that characterize the entire album, as well as the interplay between Ed Wynne's guitar and Silas Neptune's shifting synth landscapes.

Harmonic Mind was produced by Ed Wynne and Silas Neptune, who also handled the mastering for the first time. The result is an album that feels both fresh and familiar. Even the return of the beloved creature Erp on the cover is a nod to long-time fans. There are no drastic changes in direction – just Ozric Tentacles at their very best.
