Mogwai | Happy Tears
Mogwai presents Happy Tears, a new compilation spanning the band's entire 30-year career. Just like their debut single, "Tuner", from 1996, Happy Tears is released on the band's own label, Rock Action Records, which is also celebrating its 30th anniversary.
The album features, among other things, the first physical release of "Underground", a long-awaited collaboration between Mogwai and Iggy Pop. Happy Tears also collects highlights from the band's entire discography, including a single that was previously only available digitally, as well as a brand new interpretation of the Mogwai classic "Brand New Paths to Helicon 1". This version is recorded with the Budapest Art Orchestra and orchestrated by Adam Wiltzie, known from A Winged Victory for the Sullen and Stars of the Lid.
The 4LP and 2CD deluxe editions contain the compilation's 13 standard tracks as well as 13 bonus tracks consisting of remixes, rarities, live recordings, and previously unreleased material.
The LP editions are pressed on red and yellow vinyl.
