Raoul (Gérard Depardieu) was desperate to bring his depressed wife Solange (Carole Laure) out of her malaise-so he buttonholed random stranger Stéphane (Patrick Dewaere) to serve as her lover. The stunned Stéphane soon becomes invested in the unusual ménage à trois, but it might take a shockingly improbable fourth party to pull Solange from her funk.
