Erik the Viking

Terry Jones writes and directs this British comedy starring Tim Robbins as Erik, a Viking who grows tired of the violent lifestyle of his people. Erik sets out to Valhalla with a rag-tag band of squabbling warriors where he intends to ask the Gods to end the current violent age and to usher in an era of peace. However, not everyone shares Erik's vision and he encounters many who dissent against him, his most vehement opponent being local warlord Halfdan the Black (John Cleese).
