Roger Daltrey stars in this crime drama directed and co-written by Tom Clegg. Found guilty of committing armed robbery, John McVicar (Daltrey) is sentenced to eight years in prison, whereupon he begins planning a daring escape with fellow prisoner Walter Probyn (Adam Faith). However, he soon discovers that life on the run is fraught with difficulties and he struggles to realise his dream of escaping with his wife, Sheila (Cheryl Campbell) and their young son to start a new life.
