Colin Farrell and Jack O'Connell star in this historical BBC miniseries set in the 19th century and based on the novel by Ian McGuire. Following his dismissal from the military, Patrick Sumner (O'Connell) boards a whaling ship headed for the Arctic led by Captain Brownlee (Stephen Graham). However, Sumner is quickly made wary of the other crew members, in particular fierce harpooner Henry Drax (Farrell), whose demeanour creates a tense and fractured atmosphere aboard the ship.
The episodes are: 'Behold the Man', 'We Men Are Wretched Things', 'Homo Homini Lupus', 'The Devils of the Earth' and 'To Live Is to Suffer'.
